Lovely paintwork, on those and the other pieces on your page.

I can never get used to seeing the Stirling with full nose canopy. The little upper turret of the old Airfix kit being burned into my memory.

Gunbird – all those pics are stunning – thanks for sharing

Any chance you could post a description of your painting technique as i've got my first batch of 1/600 planes on the workbench at the moment and any hints would be much appreciated – plus – where did you get the decalks for the numbering? :)

Well, it depends, but GW Devlan Mud wash is my most important paint at the moment, as I use it to blackline (well, more like brownline) or brush on pure and/or diluted mud wash. The rest is just experience. Start with a lighter colour or camouflage then you would normally do and Mud wash it. Make sure you do certain details beforehand and don't coat those. The cockpit is black to blue to lightblue to was white as you want.

I get all of my decals from Dom's Decals (Roundels and markings) and I-94 (Roundels, micro armour turret numbers and letters). Both companies are a pleasure to do business with and very fast to get your decals in your letterbox.

Also, I assume you already joined the 1/600th yahoo group?
