Lots of old vintage toy soldiers from when I was a kid in the 1960s are featured in this fantasy battle in eastern Kentucky.

How many different manufacturers depicted in this collection do you also own?

I was an avid collector of plastic WWII "army guys" when I was younger. I had over 500 plus all kinds of equipment, tanks, guns, terrain, etc… One day when I was about 15 I decided to sell them at a garage sale--"KICK".

One of my favorites that I didn't own, but was owned by a buddy of mine, was Fort Apache. I thought I recognized a few of the figures on the table.

Yes, some of the cavalrymen and horses from Fort Apache indeed are on the table, not far from the redoubt. The cannon is from Fort Apache as well. I still have most of the fort and the Indians as well.

The names are my kids, their spouses, my wife, and my grandsons… they all got a kick out of it!

Those gun crew figs are intriguing. Could you post a close up? So many European companies made 7th cav./ACW figs., it is hard to tell. Maybe they are Starlux, or Crescent. The running guy in the Kepi makes me think Atlantic. The best thing I have found for cleaning old plastics is Simple green. Just let 'em soak for a few days. Pine Sol I have noticed will react with some hard plastics like Starlux, so be careful.
