…literally.

What I am looking for is a bare hand, holding a cruciform sword, in 28mm scale, that would fit on the end of the arm of the chap in this photo: link

I am painting these fellows up as VSF Papal troops, called the Seraphim Battalion because their jetpacks let them fly "as if angels of our Lord."

I need an officer. Officers carry swords (it's in Da Rules, somewhere), and Papal officers carry cruciform swords, like the crusaders of old.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure what the size is on those fellers, but I would think the separate weapon hands that Old Glory has in their medieval ranges would work.

PM me your address, and I'll send you a couple or three.

The ones I'm thinking of can be seen here:

I'm sure I have some of the State Troops bits on hand. I'll be glad to drop a couple in the mail. The first one looks really nice though.

Skrap: They are nice, but I need one with a bare hand. Those all look as if they are (leather) gauntleted.

Allen: Can't tell just looking, but are they bare-handed?

They're indeterminate. On some figures, they fit into a gauntleted wrist. But the hand itself can be painted bare.

Of course, you could do the same by cutting the GW plastic bits at the wrist joint--and they have much more dramatic swords.

Are the Jeff Valent figures "heroic" 28s? If so, I'd probably go with the GW bits, otherwise the OG hand may look a little small, and again, the swords aren't nearly as nice.

The Rail Wars stuff is indeed VERY heroic. They tower over regular 28mm figures.

Yes, quite heroic scale. I suppose the GW hands it will be, then. Just wondering if the hand has wrinkles upon it like a gloved hand would, you understand.

Well, I suppose one could always give it a go.

Did you get something you can use? If not I'll see what I can come up with.

Yeah I did, I think (haven't gotten around to cutting stuff off just yet). Thanks anyway, Flintloque!
