Hello, I'm looking for a source of 54mm shields and melee weapons suitable for a Greek or Roman time frame. Particularly Gladiator style weapons. The rules I use do call for a figure to lose a weapon or shield and it lands in a specific hex as a result of a combat critical hit. I'd like to mark the spot with something nicer than a red glass stone or scrap of paper, if possible. This would be regular round, square and large Roman style shields, and virtually any kind of melee weapon (I guess I need short swords, axes, tridents, spears and knives the most). Anybody out there have a suggestion? Thanks. Walt |

You might be able to cut up some of the Plastic Spartan figures from Conte. |

A good bet might be some of the fancy buttons with classicaly inspired images. These might make good round sheilds. Look at Hobby Lobby, or some of the big fabric stores. |

You might be able to cut up some of the Plastic Spartan figures from Conte. Not at their per-figure cost, thanks. :-D Thanks for the button idea, I like that. |
