Thought I would share my thoughts on the above book.
There are few books on the subject of naval aircraft that I don't own and this has to be the worst that I have ever purchased.
I could go on at length but will suffice by saying that in the entry on the Parnall Peto, it says '…the Peto remains the first and only conventional aircraft to be launched from a submersible aircaft carrier'.
Anyone with any knowledge of the subject must be appalled at this incredible schoolboy howler which ignores the extensive use of submarine launched aircraft by the Japanese Navy during the Second World War including the only bombing attack in history on the USA by a Yokosuka E14Y Glen which was launched by a submarine.
Easily the poorest book on naval aircraft I have ever encountered and definitely not an encyclopedia!
