I'm a big fan of painting your own. My blog is down right now so I don't have a link to how I do them but a brief description is: measure and cut tissue paper to fit folded around the flag staff swap the flag staff for a toothpick draw a thin bead of glue along the flag end to secure it to itself paint one side of the flag allow to dry enough that flipping it over won't ruin it paint the other side allow to dry enough that handling it lightly won't ruin it slide it off the toothpick slide the flag over the flag staff drop a couple beads of glue into the gap around the flag staff squeeze the flag around the flag staff to close the gap smash the flag against the flag staff – this creates waves Adjust to your personal taste. Cheers, The Bandit |

I use a lot of flags from Fighting 15s (the ones designed for my AB figs), but I have to say that as nice as those are – nothing beats the Flag Dude. His flags are not cheap, but they are the best I have seen. Wonderful. I think he is at flagdude.com Aaron |

Can't speak for your experience, colbert, but I've had lots of flags from Vaubanner in 15mm (Nap French) and 28mm (fantasy and sci-fi stuff) and they have all been first-rate. w. |

Colbert – that was very helpful. I for one would like to see the other flag mfgs you have samples of. |

All flags are 15mm, Flagdude, the flag comes fixed to the steel wire,& is already folded as in pictures. You have to add(& supply the eagle) & fix the flag pole to the figure. picture picture On reflection they are not that great. Revo ; picture OldGlory ; picture Signifer ; picture Cotton Jim ; picture AB ( updated new range); picture picture Regards, For wehrmacht, Vaubanner = picture GMB = picture |

What about cavalry flags, who makes them? |
| colbert | 08 Apr 2009 6:00 a.m. PST |
reggie88, Are you being silly? All the mentioned brands make cavalry standards as well. Regards, |

No I was not being silly, I use warflag.com but I did not see any cavalry flags. Why pay for them? |
| colbert | 09 Apr 2009 1:50 a.m. PST |
"Why pay for them?" Because the quality & extensive range available is far superior than the likes of warflag. Regards, |
