Is Mdlmker's business still ‘out there'? I mean it's been forever and a day since he last posted here, or updated his website. I do remember something about him getting a full-time job (or the like), but still
any thoughts/news? |

I've heard that he still comes to local cons, but he hasn't responded to an email since about 2006, when the wheels fell off his web business. I really liked the guy, too; it was sad to see things go south. |

I'd love to see his stuff back in production. Don't really understand why he didn't farm out some/all of the production to others for awhile to keep it going. Getting a percentage of sales must certainly be better than none at all, assuming you can negotiate a reasonable arrangement. |

Seriously, what happened? I bought a bunch of stuff from him a few years back, drove up to get 'em (the drive was cheaper than shipping,) and had a blast just hanging out in the studio and shooting the breeze. Dave's a great guy, but I got the impression that his business skills and sense were lacking. He's got great product and a real market for his stuff (I had NO problem flogging those vehicles after I painted 'em,) so he should be doing well enough. What happened? |

huh? Are we talking about David L. Dunn Productions, purveyors of fine 28mm, 15mm, and starship-scale science-fiction vehicles? I think you must be referring to some other "DLD". |

Well, looks like the DLD website is down. Guess that might mean the end. I hope not, but it doesn't look good. |

Yup, saw that too. I still had hopes for some kits I ordered ages ago, but alas:-) |
