Gentlemen, Would those of you who play (or have played) "Perfidious Albion" please share your observations on these pre-Dreadnought miniatures rules. I recently got them and they look like they'd be fun to play (although trying to figure out the 'points' for ships not listed in "Fighting Fleets" is a pain). Any hints on playing them would be appreciated. I have a few of the Houston 1/1000 ships and a 5'x10' table . . . so any changes due to scale that you'd suggest would be most welcome. -- Jeff

I own them, read them a few times. Liked what I saw, but preferred Fire When Ready more

I have them and like them much. I play with 1:1200 scale ships on a 5x10 table. I just make sure I do all measurements from the bridge of the ship. |

Onomarchos, Do you keep the half-inch movement scale? Or bump it up to inches? And, if you do bump it up, what changes do you make to torpedo and gunnery ranges? I ask because your set-up is almost exactly the same as mine. -- Jeff

My gaming group plays them regularly, in 1/2400 though. We play on a ping-pong table and I wouldn't change the ground scale from that in the rules, you can run out of room real quick moving at 1" intervals rather than 1/2". I hope to run the ‘War of the Worlds' scenario at Historicon this year. |
