QUESTION:

I've never bought any railroad models, trains or buildings before . . .

Is there a manufacturer of HO buildings that makes "Western" style buildings?

Thanks.

Try walthers.com

Campbell Scale Models
Western Scale Models

are two I like for inspiration.

Cory,

That is awesome. Look at this!!!

That one set alone might do it.

Or I could go for these too:

Thanks so much.

I will second Whitewash City. Best bang for your buck out there. Can be shrunk to almost any scale.

CC, There are a TON of Western buildings in HO. High end, all wood models, to cheaper plastic models.

Any HO Train orientated hobby shop should have a selection.

Plastic is what I am looking for.

Will see what I can find nearby, or I might order that 3-building set in that Walthers link.

Thanks.

Try "Model Power" brand buildings too (cheaper than Walthers and look great)

Saw this on bartertown.

CC and Dropship

Why build it yourself – looking at Dropships link the used ones are cheaper so must be ready built grin

This one comes with a cowboy link but may be a bit modern for you.

Forgive me for adding this paper one – basic but workable for a one off link

This is not by any chance for a new set of GZG figures are they?

Wow. I guess those printout-sheet buildings can look awful nice from a distance:

My little "Western Town" will really be a combination of Old West look and "westerned" SF buildings:

I just bought 18 H0 scale western buildings from a fellow on bartertown. Actually, the link skrapwelder referenced on Bartertown is the lot I bought. Bachman is the manufacturer. There are several duplicate buildings which I will gladly part with if you want, including a livery stable, marshal's office, and some others. Quality is nice; plastic buildings can be put together and disassembled or glued together permanently as desired. I intend to glue all mine together, leaving the rooves free to allow my gunfighters to be placed inside.

Hit me offline sgtjj@hotmail.com if you're interested.

Imagine these guys populating the streets:

I've just come across this by accident. When I looked at it, the first thing I thought of was . . . Firefly!

What do you guys think?

So . . . is this the formula for Firefly-like towns?

Western + Asian + a sprinkling of something else and a little tech?

Is that it then?
