Years ago I played this game extensively. I liked the mechanics, the scale and especially the hundreds of scenarios. I found most of them very educational!
Is there a new version? A new game similar to it? Or is there a place where I can get an updated version? Any information will be welcome.

Admittedly, the neoprene sheets are nice, but this may be a bit more on topic: link

I played Steel Panthers for many an hour. My favorite version is the original Steel Panthers game engine, long since gone by the boards as a DOS only app. For some time SP was not available for XP, but current versions run there just fine. I still give it a go every now and then.

SP and Vista do not work well together if I may add. . .

Another good reason to stay with XP…
