I'm just back from the 26th Annual Convention of the Seven Years War Association (my favorite convention!) where I ran a naval scenario. There are pictures at link I also have a truckload of pictures of the other very, very impressive games from this year's convention, some of which may be up on the convention's site soon, along with those of other contributors. You can check out some the existing galleries at link and be sure to keep an eye open for the new ones – lots of great games. A HUGE thank you to the Association for giving me a venue for my games, and especially to Randy Frye who, although it was his first run at managing the event, handled it like a seasoned pro (and is a gentleman and a scholar, to boot). My hat is off. To those who didn't make it this year . . . what were you thinking?!?!?! Regards, Jeff Posted to Conventions. Posted to 18th Century because, well, it's an 18th Century game. Posted to Napoleonic Naval because there is no 18th Century NavalBoard – unless you count the Pirates Board. Posted to Paper Modelling because the ship miniatures are cardstock model kits. My apologies to the 19th Century Gallery board – slip of the mouse. |

Better question: who produces the 1:300 scales ships and do you have a link to their website? War Artisan, I was impressed with the presentation. Great terrain and fort. Do the buildings come with the fort or did you add them from a different line? My wargame friends love the F&IW and we have done our first battle (Dequense). We could use something for a Ticonderoga setting. Where can I purchase the fort? cheers, Robert 18thcenturysojourn.blogspot.com |

timurilank, Thanks. I wish I had answers to your questions that would make you happy, but I don't. who produces the 1:300 scales ships and do you have a link to their website? I built them from kits that I designed myself. They are not commercially available (yet). Where can I purchase the fort? It's a scratchbuild. One-of-a-kind and, sorry, not for sale. Do the buildings come with the fort or did you add them from a different line? One of them is my own design, and the rest are reduced-size versions of free downloadable kits, scaled down to 1:300 to match the ships. Wish I could be more helpful. Jeff |

"Thanks. I wish I had answers to your questions that would make you happy, but I don't." Not a problem. I had already reconciled myself to a scratch building project. Your photos will serve as an inspiration. Cheers, Robert 18thcenturysojourn.blogspot.com |
