Hello all, Looking for Dark Age boats, ships, etc in 6mm. Primarily looking for Viking longboats. Also any good suggestions for 6mm buildings, walls, forts, keeps, etc? Thanks, -Eli |

Kremlin Miniatures has 6mm viking ships: link I've ordered 15mm sci-fi stuff from them before. The figures were nicely sculpted and well cast, with a minimum of flash. Service and delivery time was good, even to the States. Their website is very basic, you have to email your order to them so they can send you a paypal invoice, but don't let that put you off. And they have free shipping!! (With a minimum order of 10 pounds.) |

Excellent! That should do me for Viking vessels. Now to find other vessels of the age and the other scenery I need. Thanks, -Eli |

For idea on the town etc. have a look at the videos here link Have a look at the free paper huts etc at link – may be a bit of a problem in 6mm, esp with my fingers RPG Now has link for $5.00 USD but it may be the Norman defender buildings Wargames Illustrated had a DIY Long House a couple of issues ago. Also have a look at 6mm.wargaming.info/page9.shtml for a few ideas Andrew kings-sleep.blogspot.com |

Irregular Miniatures do a 6mm scenics range, including some viking era stuff. I think it's pretty good, though some of the flash and mould lines are hard work to deal with. |

I've made up those Kremlin ships and they were not that easy to do – very fiddly prow and stern and not well cast at all. If you are prepared to put in some work on the castings they do come out quite nicely though. |

I imagine given the time I will be spending on the overall project, that some work on the ships. Shouldn't be too much trouble assuming the casts themselves are clean and nice. There just don't seem to be too many other offerings for 6mm Viking vessels. Does anyone have any reviews of the Irregular vessels? Those paper buildings are pretty nice and that first set even looks about right for scale. -Eli |

The casts I got were not 'clean and nice' at all, if they had been then they would not have required much work. |

Hmmm. Perhaps I shall have to order one from them and make my own decission on it. They really do seem to be the only game in town for this kind of ship. |

I've only seen their 15mm sci fi stuff in person. It is good quality. I can't speak for their viking ships. |

We shall see. Am I correct that there aren't any other producers of 6mm Dark Age ships? |

Irregular also make a Viking village in 6mm, I like both it and the Viking ships. I am biased however, as I manufacture and sell them under licence. Nic EUREKA MINIATURES |

Nic, can you comment on the 6mm Vikings and other Dark Age figs from Irregular. General height, details, posing, etc? Thanks, -Eli |
