I have an on going project for the next Tactical Solutions Convention in Spokane WA. I will be doing the Second Battle of El Alamein around Kidney Ridge when the 1st British Armour and 14 Panzer went at it.

I have a goodly collection of appropriate British Forces so I am in the mode of painting up DAK infantry. I have read that they came over wearing their predominantly gray green uniforms but rapidly bleached the heck out of them to blend into the terrain better. Does anyone have pictures or descriptions (or better yet examples) of the colors they used?

THanks

Thanks for the photos! The stuff I got googling and at the library seemed very contradictory. Now I realize it is somewhat similar to painting ragged Confederates for ACW.
