How many planes are you comfortable running simultaneously? |
| nazrat | 11 Mar 2009 8:55 a.m. PST |
Three or four. Any more and mistakes generally are made. Some might be able to run more than that, but not me! 8)= |

I have run 3, but have not pushed the envelope. The formation rules really help manage the number. In my opinion, you should run more, PRECISELY to ensure "mistakes"! OFM Law #22: "The Gods invented wargaming to give middle aged men an excuse to laugh at die rolls." |

Four, maybe more if they are bombers. One does not do many split-s maneuvers in a bomber, at least not on purpose. Mike |

Four is about right if you want to keep things moving quickly. More than that and turns drag out. |

After playing 1/2 dozen games I can run 4 aircraft without a problem. Now, bomber formations. If they are in fixed formation like B-17, you could handle a dozen. |

3-4. Once 6. Got confusing. |

Bill, This got me wondering
Are you playing WY6? |
| nazrat | 11 Mar 2009 3:31 p.m. PST |
Well, he MAY be, but he's asking about CY6. Confusing, eh? 8)= |

When we did our Pearl Harbour game in 1/600th Most of us ran 12 aircraft (9 bombers and 3 fighters) quite easily
At one stage their was 95 aircraft on the table
.It loooked good
