Is anybody interested in selling their sets of Kilia flats especially the Ancients ("Altertum") era? I have several gaps in my collection that need to be filled.

You should have a look on Ebay.de.
It is very often that some sets turn up.

What sort of sets are you looking for, Asterix ?

By the way, Frau Ochel is still alive and keeping the business going to some extent. I can't vouch for the condition of the molds these days though.

Steve,

You are a member of the BFFS aren't you? I read your posts on their Forum.

In the HZ-Forum the URL to the home page (still under construction, so only very few pictures of flats) of the Kieler Zinnfiguren was published:

kieler-zinnfiguren.de

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the link. Kilia flats were my first and will always be my favorites.

@Asterix

If you are interested in ancients :-) you should order the catalogue of E. Lampert (Frankfurter Zinnfiguren), he has Romans of all periods in an amazingly high number of different poses plus other ancients(~1500 moulds).

Good tip, Ulenspiegel. Does he edit any Macedonian or Hellenistic types ? I think I've seen some Lampert war elephants resold at Berliner Zinnfiguren, but really nothing else shown on the web that I can think of.

@CorporalTrim

Yes, he is doing Hellenistic and Macedonians types. However, no Macedonian infantry, but nice cav. Then for the successor states elephants.

Ulenspiegel. Can we call you "Till" ? ;-)

Thanks ! That's okay, I already have some good phalanx figures from GO International. Also a few of the Carl cavalry from his Battle of Issos set. Quite lovely figures but a bit old-fashioned if you know what I mean.

The cavalry and elephants interest me. I found the Frankfurter Zinnfiguren website last night. Are Erich Lampert's catalogs illustrated or figure lists only ? And does he speak English ? I'd rather not subject the poor man to Babelfish German if there's no need for it.

Thanks again,
Steve

The catalogue is illustrated (b/w, each flat in ca. 20 mm.)
and goes for 15 EURO. For most series you can get colour photos (-,50 EURO each). Whether he speaks English I cant say. Write him a email :-)). If necessary I could do the writing in German :-))

One clear advantage of E. Lampert flats is, that Herr Lampert is still in business and he is interested in historically correct figures, so his series reflect (as I can jugde) current knowledge, they are by no way old fashioned.

Greetings from Graz!

That's great, Ulenspiegel. I'll give it a try.

Asterix,

Please contact me privately with your figure needs. I'm downsizing my collection from "wargame" to 'display" and I may have some surplus that you need.

Paul,

I'm interested in your surplus. Please e-mail me at cpl_trim@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Steve

Paul,

Sorry for the delay – haven't been to this section of TMP for months.

Is your offer still in effect or did Steve (a friend and fellow BFFS member) beat me to the punch?

How do I contact you privately?

Asterix,

Contact paul.nicola@cox.net

Sorry, I haven't signed on to thissite for several months. Let me know what you are interested in.
