These are my Austrians for the SYW, painted for my first proper 10mm project. Said project ran out of steam a while ago, and these guys have never seen battle. They have been on the shelf for quite some time, and in these hungry days the temptation to sell them grows stronger.
I sold my FIW side project a while ago, and have pined after it ever since. This army is even closer to my heart (since it took so long to paint!)
Now I've moved on to painting both sides for the AWI I wonder whether I'll ever return to the SYW properly. Still I've changed my mind too often before to rule it out. Anyway although I've put pics of them on my displaced miniatures site, they are small and taken with my old camera a number of years ago, so I took some pics with my current camera, and they are much prettier looking.

Hope you enjoy the slideshow.

Damn. You have more detail on your 10mm than I have on my 15s.

Clib,

Very, very, did I say, very nice. I would liked to have read the unit names with all the pretty photos.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks to me like you had a pretty good go at it! What was you basic plan with the SYW project?

Excellent painting as ever!

That's fine work. As the proud owner of a plucky and battle-tested Austro/Bavarian/Wurttemburger/(so far) SYW army, I'd be curious to know what figures you used. At least some look like Pendraken to me (and that's what I use), but I can't tell for certain.

In addition to the Hapsburg army, I've got a good Prussian army that has seen substantial action, along with British and French awaiting their turn on the painting table. I'ma make someone else in the club do the Russians, though I am considering doing Ottomans, down the road a few years.

If I had one quibble about the Pendraken Austrian SYW line, it's that I wish they'd cast a grenzer figure or two sans cape. Every time I put them on the table, I can't help thinking, "Fly, you fools! The Paris Gendarmerie is upon you!" :-)

That is way awesome. I really like the dismounted cavalry.
