WD3 suffers from a temporary hickup. As soon as we've managed to get the llama out of the hamster cage, and put a new, and hopefully sturdier, hamster in the wheel service will be resumed as normal. Well, normal in a WD3 sense. |

| adrivesyoumad | 25 Feb 2009 6:41 a.m. PST |

Gungnir | 25 Feb 2009 6:42 a.m. PST |
Just checked, and naturally ours is the only server down out of 25 or so ran by this php operator. |
| Captain Clegg | 25 Feb 2009 7:15 a.m. PST |
Just because Giles wants to make an announcement, give Eccles a kick |
Gungnir | 25 Feb 2009 7:24 a.m. PST |
I've contacted the provider, will let you know what they say as soon as they do so. In the meantime, here's a pic of the actual server picture In about the middle of the pic you can clearly see the slot where they have to insert the new hamster. |
| Captain Clegg | 25 Feb 2009 7:53 a.m. PST |
better make sure you feed it properly this time so it doesn't go on strike, British hamsters for British jobs, plus regular llama burgers provided by the management!! |
Gungnir | 25 Feb 2009 7:58 a.m. PST |
Ummm.. the server is in St Louis, CC. |
| Captain Clegg | 25 Feb 2009 8:18 a.m. PST |
Well, why didn't you say so, but keep feeding hammy the llama burgers anyway |
| Greystreak | 25 Feb 2009 9:58 a.m. PST |
A sad state of affairs, indeed--particularly with Giles about to depart 'this life' for his Kiwi adventure! |
| Norman D Landings | 25 Feb 2009 10:39 a.m. PST |
Phew
. thought it was just my awesome computer skills breaking the internet again. I dunno if we're supposed to have the llama in here, y'know
If anybody asks, just say he's a lesbian. That way, anybody who objects must be a racist. |

Not good is it, I promise we'll go private this year. I know I've been saying that for the last 3 years, but this year is the year! |
| GiloUK | 25 Feb 2009 11:24 a.m. PST |
We can't go private – it would offend Eccles' political principles. |
| WD Purp | 25 Feb 2009 11:34 a.m. PST |
Yes but so is bathing, and his mum makes him do that every sudnay evening before bed. |
| Eccles is a naughty boy | 25 Feb 2009 12:41 p.m. PST |
Shall we just take it as read that its all my fault? |
| coggon | 25 Feb 2009 1:15 p.m. PST |
I still think its the llama's fault. |
Gungnir | 25 Feb 2009 3:50 p.m. PST |
Yes, but Eccles made the llama do it. Poor hamster, he'll never be quite the same again. |
| Etranger | 25 Feb 2009 6:17 p.m. PST |
Naughty Eccles! I missed my morning fix today. |

Morning, OK, is anyone else having withdrawl symptoms?? twitching? repetative clicking on the wd3 link and tutting?? 2 and a half days is a bit much though I suspect the server has bitten the dust! and the hamsters have ceased to be
..:( |
Gungnir | 26 Feb 2009 4:51 a.m. PST |
Not a word from the provider
I think ut's time to point the attack llama in their direction. |
| Count Belisarius | 26 Feb 2009 5:28 a.m. PST |
Please let it be sorted soon. It's one of the few forums I can get at work and helps keeps me sane(ish)! Andy |
| GiloUK | 26 Feb 2009 6:14 a.m. PST |
Ok, I'm off to get married! Leaving tonight on the sleeper plane all the way to Sydney. Then Auckland! Then the in-laws!! Please don't start any AWI threads while I'm away, but do please get Eccles back on daytimes. Send any messages of goodwill, or even abuse, to VB and he can pass them on to the Master of Ceremonies. Anything offensive about either Eccles or the llama are unlikely to be read out (but we will read out anything rude about VB, as he'll be there). See you in 4 weeks! Giles |
| Timmo uk | 26 Feb 2009 6:19 a.m. PST |
Giles Have the trip of your life, enjoy the day and of course your honeymoon. We'll see you at Salute when your a married man. best wishes Timmo |

3! I have semi-meaningless errata to post! (And you guys have got Jameson upset.) I thought we agreed to go with a Guinea Pig after this happened last time. |
| Rob1709 | 26 Feb 2009 6:35 a.m. PST |
"repetative clicking on the wd3 link and tutting?? " Yep
withdrawal symptoms definitely setting in. On the other hand at least I now know it's not just me. |
| toofatlardies | 26 Feb 2009 6:38 a.m. PST |
I want it back so that I can tell you all about my new AWI rules project. You'll be AMAZED when I tell you what we have lined up. 8^D What a shame Giles won't be there
|
| Duck Crusader | 26 Feb 2009 6:39 a.m. PST |
Ah, good luck Giles, you'll know if you've erred in about 5-7 years. The server's in Saint Louis? That's just the other side of Missouri. Want me to go shoot a couple of them 'pour encourager le auters' Gungie? |
| battleeditor | 26 Feb 2009 7:03 a.m. PST |
Thank God I found you all -- I've been looking everywhere. Come on Gugnir, get it sorted! Giles, have a wonderful time, and many congratulations to you and your missus. Henry |
| Captain Clegg | 26 Feb 2009 7:25 a.m. PST |
Second that one, Giles, hope all goes well and congratulations to you both |
Gungnir | 26 Feb 2009 7:26 a.m. PST |
It ain't me, Henry, believe it! Giles, good luck! Duck, we'll pass around the hat for ammo expenses occured during your righteous crusade. |
| adrivesyoumad | 26 Feb 2009 8:00 a.m. PST |
Looks like it is a virus attacking the server 19.. they are trying to fix it but it is a complex problem from what I have read
ETA for the server to be restored? no telling! :( @Giles have a pleasant trip, best wishes to you both.. :) annette |
| Peewee | 26 Feb 2009 8:25 a.m. PST |
G'day peeps! What's going on? Did Purps forget to pay the bill again? |
| Captain Clegg | 26 Feb 2009 8:51 a.m. PST |
Hi peewee, just woken up? |
Gungnir | 26 Feb 2009 8:55 a.m. PST |
Peewee, what did you do with that hamster? He's not quite himself today. |
| Peewee | 26 Feb 2009 9:01 a.m. PST |
I've only just worked out how to reactivate my account on here. I'm slow, but I get there in the end (apart from the times I never get there obviously). The hamster found my stash. |
| Count Belisarius | 26 Feb 2009 9:04 a.m. PST |
Giles, Have a great trip and a great wedding/honeymoon. I hope you'll be taking a small painting kit with you so you can crack on with those extra AWI units? When we had our 'honeymoon' to Guadeloupe I took a load of Advanced Squad Leader counters to clip in the evenings. My wife still twitches at the sound of nail clippers! We'll look forward to seeing some pics. Andy |
| Supercilius Maximus | 26 Feb 2009 10:15 a.m. PST |
<<Ok, I'm off to get married! Leaving tonight on the sleeper plane all the way to Sydney. Then Auckland!>> Remember to pack warm clothing for the flight on to NZ – they still haven't put canopies on those biplanes. <<When we had our 'honeymoon' to Guadeloupe I took a load of Advanced Squad Leader counters to clip in the evenings.>>
All those 18th and 19th Century fortifications to drool over and map out and you took WHAT???????? <<Yes but so is bathing, and his mum makes him do that every sudnay evening before bed.>>
Well that's DEFINITELY not working
<<We've got to have a virtual stag night for Giles.>> How's this? link |
| Supercilius Maximus | 26 Feb 2009 10:20 a.m. PST |
Ah, "stag" not stug – sorry. All the best Giles! See you back in the UK next month – if it hasn't been sold by then. |
