Hi Just new to the forums and looking to see if anyone can help me identify some Grenadier Miniatures from 1985. There are 4 figures with the following codes stamped to the bottom of the bases: ME 20 ME 22 ME 26 All the figures look like they are from the same race although the ones stamped with ME22 are slightly smaller in scale than the other two who might be like a Shaman and a Champion of some sort compared to the standard warriors of ME 22. I have pics which I could send if anyone thinks they could help. I will probably be asking for some more help over the coming months trying to identify some of my old figures. Cheers |

Can you host the images on something like Displaced miniatures or Photobucket? I'm guessing someone like Sue Kes can ID them if you can get the pictures up where we can see them. |

Will try my best to get pics uploaded onto Displaced Miniatures. Once done will add link. Cheers |

If the link doesn't work copy and paste into address bar and this will show you figures which need identified. Cheers link |

Great googly-moogly! I don't recall ever seeing those before. Allen |

Certain sure they're Grenadier? Not that I doubt you, but as Allen said, I've never seen those before! |

Definitely Grenadier as all the figures have it stamped on the base :-). I thought they might be Kobolds or Gnolls but have seen pics of these figures so ruled that one out. Not sure if they could be an offshoot of some sort of orc variety. Frustrating trying to find out what they are but hopefully someone remembers. |

Have you searched the SOL (stuff of legends) website? |

In the fantasy lords blisters, we have #20: Orc command group, #22: Goblin command group, and #26: Skeleton shield warriors. How clear is that 26? Could it be another number? Sorry, my list doesn't have pictures. |

Thanks a lot for that. Helped clear up what set they were from. Out of interest did it say what they were, i.e. Orcs etc? Will probably be adding some more queries in the near future so fingers crossed you can let me know what these are too :-). Is the Terrance Gun Grenadier book still available? |

They're orcs from Grenadier's LOTR range. Terrence Gunn produced a book and a CD with pictures in limited supply about 8-9 years ago (give or take). It wasn't exhaustive, but had some pictures and an introduction to most of the ranges it produced. It's great for Grenadier collectors like myself. Terrence produced a pdf version of the book that he sold to collectors as there was additional demand. I'm not sure if he posts here, but it's likely that if you contact him, he'll send you a copy. I've since lost his contact information. I think that advances in internet technology have made his book somewhat obsolete now. The materials available online and ease of taking and posting miniatures has expanded considerably since he put together his book. |

Late to the thread, but I have those Orcs as well and can confirm the Shelob's Lair origin. Shelob is also a nice figure – big, nasty and would freak my mom out when I'd leave it "lurking" around the house. :) |
