As it's been out for a while I was wondering what people thought of it. Personally I like it, especially the 'battle' rules which should be useful for ancient armies as well. Lists arean interesting selection. Having said that, as there hasn't been a single post on them since they were released according to my TMP search, perhaps others aren't impressed. |

One problem with WMA Sups is that they are not really needed. I wrote my Own Fanatic Berber list, in 5 minutes, on the back of an envelope. I kid you not, it took that long, and WAS on the back of an envelope. I picked up the Mediaeval sup, and with the exception that they rate their light cav differently from me, i was spot on. Even my min/max were close, and my sodding upgrade for the characters was identical. by providing a 'how to' in the back of the main book, with all the basic troop types pointed up, they have made themselves redundant! I am not complaining mind. |

Sane Couldn't agree more. And I'd have bought the book by now if I had a paying job

I haven't gotten the book yet, but I plan on it for the siege rules. |

10 second flick through the book showed up some amendments to the Ancients system too
Pike are now classed as 'Defended' to mounted
is the only one I can remember. If you are a serious WMA player then you'll get it anyway. I did play WMA but disagreed with too many 'gamey' things and 'gamey' ways to beat them, don't want to turn this to a rant so. I wrote my own version of WMA that we play at the club, so far its been well recieved
as to buying WMM
I'll take a longer look at the armylists and special rules for Medieval
probably get it anyway, I like the system but just disagree on some 'show stoppers' for me, that is. |
