This is my latest book and my pride and joy… I poured four years into researching and writing this baby.

That is a flattering review, Scott.

What was "controversial" about York's surrender?

So when do we see the "old black guy with cigar" figure?

but Hey!, good for you. Looks like a decent review, and to dig out new stuff on the ACW is something.

Scott,
A very proud moment for you, I'm sure, especially with that review! You'll have copies of it available for Reenactor Appreciation Weekend in Gettysburg this March? I look forward to buying a copy, myself. It is a part of the local history that I know very little about, but interests me, greatly.

York feebly surrendered to the oncoming Confederates without putting up a fight, unlike other nearby towns. CSA flags waved from the hotels and balconies as John Gordon's brigade marched through town, and several residents hosted Rebel officers for dinner parties.

For a Pennsylvania town, it had far more Copperheads than most other cities north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
