Matsuru Sami Kaze, the four holes behind the engine are bombs in a vertical bomb rack. Behind them are observation windows. |

Are those counter weights to lower the landing gear with gravity? |

Those are part of the strut structure of the landing gear. Here's a shot of another model (about 2/3 the way down the page) that shows the landing gear extended. |
