Friday night we played an ancients game. We used the Fire and Fury variant (Sword and Fury). We were all pleasantly surprised at the speed and ease of game play. Our group tries to start a game by 8:00pm and we try to finish by midnight. The 4 hour window limits the rules and game size. Fire and fury, The Sword and the Flame, Rapid Fire, SGII and other fast playing rules are very practical for our needs. We hope to start up our Sudan campaign as well. Here is the link to the game report.

Looks like a fun game. Where did you find the Fire and Fury ancients variant?

Is this another case of one ruleset to rule them all?
