I'm wondering if anyone has any base color suggestions for BDUs, webbing and boots for modern Brits in the Afghanistan AO? Was thinking of Vallejo Khaki Grey and English Uniform for the BDU camo, but the webbing and boots are a stumbling block for me.

Webbing could be a multitude of colours, either normal DPM or Desert DPM as per uniform. Or even normal temperate DPM or green painted with a yellow/sand/desert ochre colour.

Boots a variety of yellow/buff or even black.

In the early years there was a lot more variety but now the chaps are looking a little more uniform. Have a look at various UK military sites and even Govt Surplus/Military Surplus sites,

Don't forget everything gets a good covering of dust and Bleeped texte. If you have access to UK TV Ross Kemp has a new series starting tomorrow (Sunday) 1 Feb 09 out in Afg, you will get some good inspiration if you get to view the series,
