I am wondering about any manufacturers (besides preiser) who makes plastic/ metal/ resin late war infantry in 1/87 (18mm to 20mm tall) infantry. German, US and Soviet 1944 onwards is what I am lookin for. |

I don't know of any but would be very interested if someone is manufacturing them. |

Just so you know, in general 1/72 is considered 20mm and in that size there are more manufacturers of infantry than you can shake a stick at. Including the brand I sell, Warmodelling: link Mark "Extra Crispy" Severin Owner, Scale Creep Miniatures ScaleCreep.com |

Resistant Roosters' Germans are actually 18mm and work for late war. Historifigs owns the range now. All of my armor and aircraft are 1/87, and I'm using the "15mm" figures which are closer to 18mm. Their Americans are shorter, unfortunately. When you base infantry, the figures wind up being about right in comparison. Here are some Preiser figures that I'm using for FoW link Wyatt |

So, from the answers, I can surmise that nobody besides preiser makes 1/87 scale figures for WW2. |

Like Wyatt says, the closest I can find are some of the larger 15mm ranges. Or I suppose, some of the original and dated, Airfix plastic figures. This is why I prefer the 15 mm ranges, they feel like the spiritual successors to the old Airfix,Minitanks and Hinton Hunt minis! |

It's just Prieser and some old Roco figs for 1/87. I use those in vehicles, and then 1/76-72 plastics for infantry stands. I'd rather have the extra height but better human and weapon proportions of actual scale infantry, than a better height but no actual scale of human anatomy or weaponry of metal 'size' figures. I also prefer plastic figs cause they're so easy to modify the poses. |
