Hi everyone, I keep hearing about people in America picking up bags of Heroclix for next to nothing and using them for cheap conversions and so on. I think this would be a great idea but as I live in the UK I have yet to see anywhere selling off old cheap heroclix. I live near to Birmingham so if anyone knows of anywhere near (or if not then far) or an online shop which does anything like this I would love to hear about it. Thanks in advance. Dan

I bought a lot of old Heroclix from a couple of stores that used to do in-store gaming and tournaments. One was a mostly comic/graphic novel dealer. There were thousands of them dumped into giant plastic storage tubs (mostly commons, but who cares?)and offered very inexpensively! Perhaps someone can direct you to a place like that in your area? |

I used to buy mine direct from a U.S store. But now the pound has crashed I'm looking for a U.K based outlet as well. |

Poundland have been shunting Haloclix since before christmas
i've bought loads
they're bigger than the heroclix (about 40mm scale) but there are some great sculpts in the range. Four figures, a mapsheet and dice for £1.00 GBP Magic. As to Heroclix, the only time i've ever got them really cheap was to buy them by the boxfull with a mate from the States on ebay
.sitting up till four in the morning on dial-up then getting beaten at the end of the auction
.ah, the good old days

Ebay is where I go. It depends I think on what game you are playing. I'm not playing actual heroclix but plan to play Supersystem, so picking up cheap job lots of single common figures has given me a good variety at minimal cost. I can only see myself trying to pick up specific figures to make up groups of henchmen, but at least I can just pick up the cheaper rookie versions. |

Okay, I have a ton (well, several small boxes) of Heroclix to sell off. I am in the USA but will ship to fellow TMPers in UK. Paypal and actual postage. PM me or e-mail warbeads AT Yahoo DOT com. Alternate e-mail for those who like real names (or like typing) Glenn-Wilson-1950 AT sbcglobal DOT net, if that is my real name
Send list of wants and I'll check. Gracias, Glenn |

arabianknight- most of my heroclix have been earmarked for conversion for supersystem
used to play in the lunch hour at work
some of the lesser known heroes are more useful than the 'A'listers
and the Marvel SWAT guys and DC cops have seen action in a lot of games

chronoglide – that's what I'd thought. I do have a few of the big names, but I'll not take to the group to avoid the "I want to be Batman" or "Why can't I have all the Justice League" cries. All I have to do is the old repaint-when-I-find-time chesnut. |
