Does anyone have any links to on-line articles on making one's own carrier flight deck decals for 1:6000?

The process I recall involved printing an image of the flight deck from a PC program such as Photoshop. The image was then sent to an ink jet printer, and printed on some sort of special paper (either home-made or purchased; I'm not sure). The result was then applied as a decal to the model.

Any help would be appreciated!!

You can buy decal paper for ink-jet or laser-jet printers. The last time I did so I bought it from Bare-Metal Foil. link Their website has the paper & a short how-to. I've seen clear and white paper.

I create the image in MS Power Point, print it on ink-jet paper (I have an ink-jet printer), and seal it with Krylon Crystal Clear gloss (aerosol).

Here are a couple of other TMP threads on homemade decals. Kevin

I just bought several of the Toshach Minitures sets for $5 USD apiece and I was very statisfied with the quality.

The only issue I had was that my printer was "off" a little so I printed out the label using plane paper, measured the label and the length of the carrier deck and did some quick math to get a scale factor and printed out a scaled second check print, cut out the check print to do a fit test, if everything looked good, (it did) I then printed out the final glossy photo paper.

I hope Toshach produces decals for all of the 6000 Scale carriers, then maybe 2400 / 3000 scale.
