I need some painting info for the above figures. I have some GW figures and need info on painting their Kilts. That said: 1. Did the apron completely surround the the man or was it only a cover for the front. The GW figures I have appear to only have a partial apron, yet I've seen aprons that completely cover the entire kilt. Are both correct? 2. In the Great War Rules there appears to be a Lavender or light purple kilt. Is this historical? Is there any tartan or is it plain? 3. Can you recommend any painting tutorial for painting Kilts? 4. What was the most common tartan in use on the western front? Thanks in advance

1) Yes. Strictly speaking, aprons should cover front and back, but photographs typically show only the front covering. 2) As above, Hodden Grey, which is a solid color 4) Government Sett aka "Black Watch". It will give you the best coverage for the British and Canadians. |
