I have posted some pics of my Bavarian IR-Kurprinz with regimental gun and artillery crew. Take a look and leave any comments/suggestions/criticism.

You asked on your blog about the positions of the gun team – obviously these will change slightly depending on whether they are firing, loading, aiming or moving.

Broadly speaking, the guy with the rammer would be in front of the gun and stand to the right (as you face the enemy); the loader would be in a similar position, but to the left. The "portfire" (light blue touch paper and Bleeped text off) guy would be to the left and behind the line of the axle – roughly level with the non-dangerous end of the barrel. Depending on how big the gun was and how many gunners you had, other gun team members would be to either side of the trail and probably outside the line of the wheels (avoiding the recoil). The NCO in charge of the gun would be to the rear of the gun.

Hope that helps.

(Always liked Bavarians – one small point, did they not give up their special blue coats during the mid-18thC due to the high cost of the dye?)
