I've done frequent business with Hotz Matz over the last 2 years. I'm used to to waiting 2 to 3 months to get my product but its always been great product once I have it so the wait has been worth it. I've also found Eric at Hotz Matz to be pretty responsive to emails.

However this time I have an order for 30 mats from August 24 and additional 75 mats that was placed on December 1st.

On December 6th, Eric emailed me and said:
"I will try to have all 105 of your game mats ready to ship next week. Will send you a note once they have shipped."

I have not heard from him since. I've emailed about once every 10 days since to get an update … but I've not heard back which is not normal.

Has anyone had an email from Hotz Matz since December 6th?

105 mats! So you're the reason my order from October 21 hasn't arrived yet! :p

All kidding aside, I have heard the mats are excellent and to expect a wait, but I am getting a little concerned.

Wonderful mats, I have 5 myself. Eric might be slow at times but he seems to always come through!

I am trying to contact Eric at Hotz Matz via email for 7 mat since mid December 2008.
I still without response, perhaps, my English is too bad to have a quotation or too far away …

Received a long email from Eric this morning.

They've been hit with two issues.

1) Their water supply keeps freezing which means they cannot wash out the mats which he explained is an important step.

2) Also their felt supplier stopped carrying their brand of felt and didn't contact them. They found this out after having had an order in with them for over 2 months for a resupply.

He says they at this moment have water and have a new supplier for felt and are trying to get through all the back orders as quickly as possible.

When I ordered a mat a few years ago it was delayed 16 weeks due to heavy snow!!

Noted ImpactMiniatures – thanks for that as it is more information than I have been able to get from HotzMats when I email them (I get no response at all).
So maybe my order from mid-December is still in the pipeline…it would be nice to know though.
And presumably the Whitewash Buildings that I ordered at the same time aren't affected by the above….wonder why they can't be dealt with in the meantime….

Houra i got them, i receive the mats today afternoon.
So after more than 2 months.
We have to be patient and no wait for mail feedback

I ordered a Deep Space hex mat on 06 April and it arrived today, an 18-day turnaround. I got an e-mail when I ordered it that said to expect a five-week wait, so I'm happy. The mat is very nice, too.

We don't? We did the last time I looked and, Ironically, have for over a year now. In fact, I just put together four orders for Snow mats.

Hmmmm….
