Anybody know what Paul Darnell is up to at the moment, would like to catch up with him sometime soon?

I think last we heard was late October, when he was selling some items off prior to moving south to take care of his mother.

He's going to be at a couple of shows in this coming year with display games. Sadly, his mother died late last year, and having dealt with everything that involved, he is restarting his business.

Along with a number of other people in the hobby, I received the following 'round robin' announcement from him at the start of this year, which I am sure he won't mind me repeating here:

"I have decided to carry on model making for at least 2009 and have been searching for a workshop and suitable place to live.

This I have done and so from the 5th of Jan I will be back at work model making full time and intend to throw myself back into my work.

I will have all outstanding models completed and posted out during Jan and thereafter my intention is to make models for sale, rather than take on new model commissions.

I also hope to have my web site back up during Feb.

Thanks again for your patience and apologise for the delay in getting those few outstanding models out to those of you who have been waiting, rather than a refund.

Rest assured all is now back in order and with the dawn on 2009 I have put 2008 behind me and its full steam ahead.

All the best for 2009.

Cheers Paul"
