Hi guys, well the first nights play is over and the report is in. I hope you like the 'massed' unit look. James olicanalad.blogspot.com |

As usual, you do wonderful games! I just love the Crusades period and your games look a treat. Thanks for sharing. |

How do you get so many troops painted for play? Do you paint them all yourself or use a service? |

Very inspirational James. I'm hoping to start a Crusades collection this year and your site is a wonderful morale boost for my project. Thanks, Herb |

Hi nycjadie, I am a painting service – Olicana Painting Services – but this is the product of my spare time. I aim to do 500 figs a year for myself – a couple of hours at the end of a day plus a bit at the weekend – when I'm not making terrain and whatever. When you make your hobby your job you must still keep your hobby – otherwise what's the point. James |

I've always liked this period, too; but have never played it. Ran out of money before running out of armies and periods I wanted. Beautiful figures, and very nice report. JW |

Looking forward to the next instalment – good looking figures as expected! I liked the table and the terrain – very atmospheric. Garry |
