Anyone know where I can find 1880s-era Mounties with the pillbox hat rather than the Smokey Bear hat? I'm looking for them to go with Dixon Old West range.

RAFM, in the North West Rebellion range.

Good call Jakar. The two lines should mix very well for size, heft and sculpting style.

Beautiful – thanks guys! Any chance of finding them on foot? I know it's pretty slim!

It looks like this case is done, King.

If you get enough people interested, there is always a group build you can try so you get exactly what you want in the way of figures made.

"Woof".

…as the overture to "Donna Diana" swells in the background…

I'm sorry, but the pillbox hat just doesn't cut it. Pierre the Half-Breed will not "t'row down heez gunz and run away" when confronted by a man wearing a pillbox hat, no matter how rakishly it is tilted. I'd throw history to the winds and always use the smokey bear hat and the scarlet uniform.

Sorry, MA in history…I have a hard time suspending belief!

"So, Sgt. Baker, where do you get theze cute little hat, then? Did your gir' friend let you have borrow it meebe?"
"No, Pierre, it happens to be standard issue. It was originally purchased in Regina, if you must know, though frankly, I doubt the sincerity of your inquiry."
"No, no, please, Sgt. I am sincerely interest because I want so much to buy one just like for my little squaw wife to wear. I would give her yours, after I done keel you, but it will be too full holes."
"Pierre, you'd better watch that sort of talk. It might be interpreted as a threat to Her Majesty's law enforcement officers, and we certainly wouldn't want that."
