If you were a kid in the 1960s who loved history and toy soldiers, you probably had a WOW figure!

My local store has most of their plastic spherical ornaments. Their largest ones (with the holographic glittery finish) are the exact size as the old AMT Intrepid Civil War balloon kit, which is perfectly scaled for 25/28mm ACW figures. Some of the other spheres could also be used for WWII Japanese balloon bombers and your average weather balloon that can be incorporated into a pulp or modern scenario.

This is the first day of the sale, so I'm sure they'll be flying out the door soon enough. Good luck!

I picked up some Lemax stuff at 50% off at Garden Ridge and Michaels. 12 feet of split rail fences and 63 Pine trees. The former are for my 54mm figs. It cost about 35 bucks. It will see service in my 54mm WWII and AWI games.

Thanks,

John

I need to hit Garden Ridge. Michaels has already been picked clean.

I haven't been to Hobby Lobby yet. Not sure if everythings gone there or not. I wouldn't mind picking up another couple of sets of trees. I could have picked up 3-4 more boxes of split rail fences. I just didn't think I'd need em. Famous last words, right. :-D

May go by home depot.

Thanks,

John

I just got four of those excellent 21 tree sets at Home Depot for $1.50 USD each. I had previously added three more from a different Home Depot for $3 USD each, so all told this season, the Ardennes have grown a ~140 trees denser for a mere $15. USD
