I'm not sure if it matters what i paint their horses like as long as they look like horses, but is anyone aware if there is a certian phenotype i should lean toward when painting (Don) Cossack's horses? Black, White, Brown, Grey, or just whatever i feel like?

Somebody's bound to be unsatisfied until Vallejo codes get posted. Preferably ones recommended for Flames of War. Even if they're wrong.

Not all don horses are chestnut, though.

And probably very few of the 'Don cossacks' in WW2 had anything like don horses, but rather had to do with about any decent horse. ;-/

I only use Humbrol Horse Brown, enamel naturally.
