Bit confused here. I bought two boxes of the Indian elephants expecting to find two elephants in each box and to my astonishment there were three. The box art and the HAT website (and sellers too) suggest that there are only supposed to be two. The plastic soldier review website suggests that HAT found they had room for three not two. Was I just lucky and found some old stock? Or is three the actual norm? Shops don't like you tearing open boxes to find out. Does anyone actually know as I want to buy a dozen of the Macedonian elephants now (and four boxes is a lot cheaper than six). |

You could always try contacting HäT themselves to find out? Griefbringer |

But I don't recall anyone saying that they squeezed three Macedonian elephants into that set. |

PSR says that the original run of Macedonian elephants did include 3 per box, but shipping problems forced them to revert to 2. I don't believe there's a way to tell without opening the box. |

Paul is correct. I bought several of the boxes when they were 1st released. They did originally start with 3. They switched to 2. Thanks, John |

I don't believe there's a way to tell without opening the box. Oh, but there is. Stoodley, get your hands on one of those small hand held scales. Weigh your box containing 3 elephants and write down the weight. Take the scale to your hobby shop and weigh the boxes. Matching weights will have 3 elephants.

Why not just use your portable fluoroscope? |

Silly me Mulopwepaul, trouble is I need to be able to get down the aisle in the store with the pallet-sized generator and I worried about crushing the Academy kits. |

Cyrus the Great – surely you mean using a block and tackle or some other device from your own bank of ancient technology? |

Stoodley, Ahem

yes, yes that's what I meant to say! |

Does anyone actually know as I want to buy a dozen of the Macedonian elephants now (and four boxes is a lot cheaper than six). The worst that can happen is that you end up with eighteen elephants. And as the saying goes, one can never have have too many elephants in his trunk. Griefbringer |
