I usually collect only British but have succumbed to buying some French Perrys because they are too beautiful to miss out on!
My problem is I collect 1:1 and the new boxes of plastics contain only a line company drummer. I therefore need Grenadier drummers and Voltiguer buglers cornets.(incidentally, is this correct? Voltiguer companies didn't have drummers?). I had a look at the metal range but couldn't find any.
Front Rank do produce both a Grenadier drummer and a Voltiguer cornet but I'm not sure about mixing these two manufacturers – I like both, but FR don't look right mixed in with others, imho.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I know that Foundry produces a Voltigeur Cornet. I think they also produce a grenadier drummers. They would be smaller than Perrys, but still a much better match than FR.

I emailed the Perrys about this very issue and the response was:

"Hello

We don't have any extra command spures I'm afraid, although that's what the metal range is for. I will be adding to the metal range a pack containing 2 officers, 2 drummers and 2 ensigns though.

All the best

Alan"

That works for me and I look forward to adding a regiment of these figures to my collection. (Although, I'm worried about having a battalion of all plastic figures in a game and accidentally tossing them in the air when I pick them up….)

Hurrah! Thanks Clay.

As for the flying away problem, mix em with metal. I'm going to mix my plastics with about 90 old foundry line inf advancing (didn't the Perrys do them too?). You used to be able to buy discount packs of 10 different in a bag. They look awesome together and I haven't even started painting them yet.
