I am 10 years younger than my eldest brother, and when he went to University I got his old bedroom.

He left all his old books – in some cases I was lucky.

One I read was the WWII Memoirs of a Churchill Crocodile Commander. It was not a GREAT book but IIRC a good one. It was titled 'Flamethrower'. It was semi-fictionalised I think – a bit 'all quiet on the Western Front' or 'Lice' (No-one else in the UK seems to have ever read 'Lice')

My Older Brother does not remember owing such a book, and thinks it was my Dad's. My Dad denies owning any such book – but he has a terrible memory. I am _sure_ it existed, but cannot find it.

I cannot find a book by this title on the Net – with nothing to go on but the title my google-fu is not sufficient.

Can anyone remember this book, has anyone got a copy and know what the author was called?

Holy god – 'Lice' is selling for up to $220.00 USD on Amazon in softback – I am sitting on a fortune.

Not selling it though… wonder if someone else is waiting for 'Flamethrower' to become valuable too.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I tried to find a copy for myself about a year ago.

I picked up a copy from the Amazon listing.

This book is a great read, I'd recommend it.

By the way, the chaps in the cover artwork are nuts for using the feul trailer as cover! :)

It's a great book. I have a copy right beside me.

Try abebooks.com. They have it in paperback for as little as a $1.00 USD (up to $45). ABEBooks is linked to used booksellers all over the world.
