How did that spell-casting work? That sounds like a great mechanic for this period. Beautiful figures and terrain. JW |

One could affect the Severn River if the Saxons tried to cross it. Another could cause the bridge to dissappear (just a trick of the eye). He also cast a spell that allowed one small British infantry unit to merge with another so they could form a shield wall. One batch of dense woods was labeled "enchanted" and called Merlins Woods. Fearsome creatures were suppose to be therein, (just a bunch of cripples and insane persons placed by Merlin to attack anyone that dared enter, British or Saxon). Merlin could also make all sorts of threats/claims/ or utterances as he desired to addle the Saxons but had no real effect. A funny part was at the beginning when Merlin cut open a stuffed pig to read the augries and predicted that Arthur would beat the stuffing out of the Saxon Pigs. |
