Anyone have problems with them?

historicalminiatures.com

I have a friend who ordered from them almost 2 months ago and has yet to receive his order…

I was going to order from them but at this rate I think I will avoid them.

Not sure about their 15mm stuff but for the 6mm Adler miniatures I've had no problems recently with orders.

if you are looking for 15mm ACW try Musket Miniatures

Actually it was Adler being ordered… I believe he was told it would be a couple weeks at most to cast it… couple months later and minimal contact no order yet. :(

For what it's worth, I've had really good mail-order service from Adler in the U.K. (I live in the U.S.) You also get the advantage of being able to order individual strips from Adler U.K. (for most of their stuff, anyway), so that's another incentive.

Yeah, i've ordered Adler direct myself and had no problems…

I feel bad for my friend because I discovered that Stone Mountain sold them here and suggested he try them (why not support a U.S. based caster/distributor).

Amazingly so far i've found it easier to order from the UK direct and get better service than with most U.S. distributors of UK product… not sure what that means if anything but it has influenced my purchasing habits…

Just before Christmas, I ordered some clearance items from Stone Mtn. These items were in stock but were not Adler. Like others have said, I didn't get any email confirmation but the order was quickly delivered, so no complaints.

Adler direct is always great service. I just purchased about a $100 USD of stuff from them 4 weeks ago, had it from time of order to receipt, 2 weeks to California.

I had some trouble with a small Stone Mountain order.

By and large, there is nothing Stone Mountain offers that I can't get someowhere else, so I won't be dealing with them in the future.

I ordered some 15mm colonials from them a couple of years ago and had no complaints, but that was a different line of figures and, let's face it, it was a couple of years ago. Things change, and not always for the better – look at Little Wars in Houston, for example!

I'll still give them another chance one of these days, as I like the minis I got from them and I will be needing more in the next few months or so.
