We decided to replay our 28mm Vimeiro battle, giving the French a broader approach to the town this time.

link

The town was repositioned along the table's length, and the French started just beyond Allied artillery range. After a tough fight, the French secured the centre of the village and routed the British left flank. The hitherto solid British right flank was forced to retreat from the town shortly after the centre crumbled.

Wow!

Great looking board -- and some great figure details as well.

Now thats what I call a battle. Great stuff. May I ask where the buildings came from – I think I recognise some from PMC – but most look like they were scratch built.

Trees from?

Thanks for inspiration.

popped a bag of popcorn for the show…great show!

WOW! That is outstanding stuff and I just love the room/set up the game was done in for the battle.

Also, picture 99 of the Spannish irregulars makes me want to try to put together a force. I've never gamed the Pennisula but I can really see the draw after looking at those pictures.

Thanks for posting!

That is among the best looking games I've ever seen. Gorgeous all the way, figures, terrain and scenery.

The word "awesome" gets overused on these pages, but that truly does describe the game shown in the link.

I'm impressed with the wargame room, its size, the storage space, the pictures and memorabilia on the walls, the hat collection. This room has it all.

Nice job on the photography – everything looks crisp and sharp.

Who were the players? How many figures involved?

And last but not least, what an awesome collection of Napoleonics.

Great looking battle. I hope the day went well and you all enjoyed it.

What brand are the Portuguese Caçadores firing?
And also the civilian folks manning the guns?
Congratulations!

Truly inspiring. This is the ultimate in gaming. You must be very happy with your layout.

DJoker24 May 2009 11:21 a.m. PST

Fantastic table. The terrain is amazingly well done. And the figures are great as well. This gives me reason to think that building a dedicated Quatre Bras board sometime in the future might be a worthwhile idea. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wonderful and enlightening. That is the type of set up that inspires (as well as demoralizes us mere mortal painters). Thanks for sharing.

You win..

Not sure what but definitely something good.

Also the gaming room and shelving you have, your setup, looks cool. Gave me some ideas.

Wow! Excellent table and fabulous figures! Great inspiration! Btw, did I spot a Foundry pirate among the Spanish guerillas?
