This may be a dumb question, but in Italy and Normandy, what colour was the British helmets?

They were dark green, I just use Humbrol Army Green, close enough.

Mate of mine used to have several of the originals.
The ename paint was worn in patches and the rather subtle rusting altered the colour.
From any distance you couldn't really see any rusting at all.

The paint on his was a different shade of green on each one – so I think there you would be justified in dark to mid green depending on your preference.

I go to the FOW site and just use what they recommend. It works.
