what is a good online source for buying 15mm stuff in the us, old crow, GZG, peter pig, ect?

for modern and sci fi

I know I have asked this before, but my search-fu sux, lol..

thanks in advance:-)

I sell Scifi here in the states. The way the dollar is against the pound, GZG is a great deal right now and Jon is one hell of a dude. Do a thread search about his wormhole shipping.
Peter pig is available from brookhurst hobbies.
Not sure about old crow.
Good luck.

Buy them all direct. Brookhurst for PP is okay, but you will wait for ever on items they do not have in stock, order directly from PP and you get the whole order quickly.

Alternately, look at Rebel minis here in the US, and Old Glory has modern 15s, and Old Glory 15s has the modern Quality Castings range.

With the exchange rate being what it is you can't go wrong by ordering direct from the UK. I have nothing but great experiences ordering from Old Crow and Peter Pig.

McBane,

Old Crow – I just placed a big order a few days back. As Combat Wombat said, the dollar to pound ratio is great right now and shipping is a flat 10%. Very good deal.

GZG – Again, with the Pound to Dollar ratio its a good time to order. Jon drops the Vat tax and charges actual shipping. Great selection and good company.

QRF – Going through some changes in US distributors, but if Wargames LLC has some things you want, they are 40% while supplies last. You can also order from Geoff directly and benefit from the currency rate and the knowledge you are going the souce and everything is in stock.

Peter Pig – Some people seem to have ordered direct to the UK recently, but normally its only through Brookhurst and people have mixed reviews of that experience.

Combat Wombat – Very nice resin vehicles for a good price. He even includes rare earth magnets and metal gun barrels.

Rebel Miniatures – Mike is a great guy and has ultra moderns, zombies and some nice SciFi Tanks. Mike is out of Tennessee.

The Scene – Another UK company, Mike has some very nice 15mm Orks and Space Marines for sale. thesceneuk.com

Splintered Light – If you want high quality fantasy and some historical stuff, David is a wonderful guy and has some of the best 15mm on the market. David is out of Georgia.

I will add more if I think of some . . . .

As mentioned, GZG's shipping from the UK is faster than many companies located in the USA ship domestically.

His service is superb!

RAFM has some nice grunts which I believe are the old Striker figs.

Thanks,

John

Wombat Combat,

What armed recon/patrol vehicle in your collection would fit best with my GZG Colonial Security (Cops)?

These are the exact packs of figures I just ordered:

SG15-V6 pack at top of this page:

SG15-V5 pack, at bottom of this page:

They will be the few law enforcement staff available to help my Mars colonists against a sudden infestation of 6 foot centipedes.

Would it be the Scout Car (AFV007)?

Thanks.

Yep, the scout car is very popular and AFV002 is much more popular than I hought it woud be with most folks using it as a internal police/security vehicle.

There's some pretty significant price differences on PP from Brookhurst v. direct.

I really like the Combat Wombat vehicles and Scott is great guy, too.

stanjohansenminiatures.com has very nice alein 15mm Sci Fi fictions. I really like the Dracon lizard infantry.

You can get Irregulars Sci 15mm from silvereaglewargames.com

I wish DLD Productions would get back online. I have a bunch of their Komodos and was really liking the looks of the new stuff, but I haven't ordered from them since 2005, because of all the issues people were having.

kmfrye05 Jan 2009 11:40 a.m. PST

DLD is still having issues – basically he's working mad hours to pay the bills and has minimal time for casting.
