Does anyone know if there is a supplier that makes 28mm figures that resemble the men of the air dictatorship from the 1936 H.G. Wells film?

Cool.

Do these work any better?

Check towards the bottom of the list: "Small Aircraft" and "Flight Suit."

Wheew! It's been a loooong time since I've seen that flick. Probably close to 50 years ago! I'll have to find a copy and watch it again.

Please do, and do so quickly. Otherwise you "will have shirked and lived in vain!"

It's a very cool film, although I like Metropolis better.

Both are available on Netflix.

Any 28mm figures of the Metropolis lady robot?

RavenscraftCybernetics03 Jan 2009 12:34 a.m. PST

that looks easy enough to make a conversion, just slip a plastic spoon up a minis back and shape it accordingly.

It looks like some of the Dr Who figures from BTD
Also some of Blue Moons spacemen

Any 28mm figures of the Metropolis lady robot?

Try this one listed as a Tomb Maiden:

The wings over the world chaps don't fight, they just drop the gas of peace on their enemy and then take over.

I have always thought that a good game from that movie would be when the Boss leads his men against the hill people to capture the coal field. Medieval style warfare, but with rifles and machine guns. Then the Boss could get his flying machines into the air and really take over.

I'm working on Fiddler Green's coal mine specifically for that purpose. I am also trying to integrate the gas of peace into my arsenal but need to work out area effects taking into account winds, etc. Any suggestions for gas warfare in general??

A Metropolis Lady in 28mm is also produced by Darkson Designs, as part of their Pulp City Range. The miniature is part of the Heroes Starter Set and called 'Androida'

Hope this helps,

Oliver
