Just got a bunch of figures from a relative that they got at auction. Some I recognize right off the bat. Bussler, Britains, Minot. However, I havea bunch I have never seen before. They are French in nature and still in boxes. Unfortunately, they do not have any stamps or printing. The occasional box has the type of figure with a number but no manufacturer.
Any suggestions?

Mignot and Lucotte were/are two famous French toy soldier companies. Their figures are very, very expensive today. Try the Old Toy Soldier Newsletter website by googling this name. That is a good place to start.

If there is a "bee" stamped on the base they are old Lucottes. There are also a few other obscure yet very valuable French makers as well.

If you want to PM me with more details I might be able to help you out. My brother is one of the writers for Old Toy Soldier magazine and specializes in Fench manufacturers.
