I have been informed that the Figurehead/Hallmark sculptor is back at work, producing some new 1/1250th scale WWII vessels, so thought I would let people know which vessels I would like to see released in this scale:

BPB 71' 6" MGB (sometimes also called the 72' model)

BPB 71' 6" MTB Mk V (essentially the MGB, with torpedoes added – this is the version with the sloping superstructure)

BPB 71'6" MTB Mk VI (again, using the MGB hull, with torpedoes added, and with a shorter, Vosper-style bridge superstructure)

Vosper 73' MTB Mk I – with four 18" torpedo tubes (late-war Vosper)

The above are mid-late war boats, so will be very useful for many actions in the Channel, and North Sea.

For the Germans, I would like to see the small Raubvogel and Raubtier class Torpedo Boats produced, since many saw action in the English Channel and North Sea.

LST's and LSI's would be very useful too, for the Normandy landings, and for the Slapton Sands (Exercise Tiger) scenario.

A Libery ship and other large merchants would be useful for convoy battles, especially since Mal Wright will be releasing a new set of Convoy rules early next year, and I would like to be able to use 1/1250th scale minis to re-fight the convoy battles.

American Destroyer Escorts, like the Buckley class, and/or the British Captain's class Frigates; J,K,& N class, S class, Tribal class, and V&W class Destroyers; Algerine Minesweepers; Type IX U-Boats, and Maass and Narvik class DD's would be useful as well.

So, that's my primary wants list right now.

If you are interested in seeing more releases in this scale too, you might post your wants list here, and/or contact Regal Distributors directly.

I second your vote for BPB 71' 6" MGB,
BPB 71' 6" MTB Mk V, BPB 71'6" MTB Mk VI, Vosper 73' MTB Mk I, and the small Raubvogel and Raubtier class Torpedo Boats.

I wouls also like to see some pacific war Japanese DDs, small transports, and landing craft for Solomons battles.
Also some more cargo and fishing craft types for the French, Netherlands, Denmark, etc.

Soviet boats; like Tupolev G5 (the fastest WW2 MTB) and those gunboats with T34 turrets… or with kathusha rockets.

If you are prepared to pay a bit more, then practically any vessel from WW2 is available in this scale from a manufacturer such Neptun of Germany.

They will be releasing some Japanese vessels soon, but I don't know what they are yet.

I dont game with models I pay that much for.

A Vosper 70' MTB would be nice as well, since this one has a narrower beam than the later model, so looks very sleek.
