Our first scenario book, "Battle for the Bridgehead – Beyond Omaha" is released as a pdf today, priced £5.00 GBP It follows the first hours and days of 2nd and 5th Ranger Bn's and the 29th Infantry Division after breaching the defences at Omaha beach.

See the news here greatescapegames.co.uk and preview here PDF link

It's ready to send out now. You'll get a screen quality pdf and one that's printer friendly.

Thanks for looking. Any questions, please ask.

Well, Ido have to point out the photo on the cover are actually 1st ID men taking shelter under the cliffs at the far left flank of Omaha.

I know it sometimes gets captioned that way, but here's part of my attempt to stop the maddness.

And the same range for a Garand and a carbine? That's a bit odd.

A good game would be to put the Rangers at PdH and no rescue is sent. See how long they can survive.

Good stuff, Stuart!

I may take that challenge up, jgawne. I do want to explore believable alternate WW2 stuff also.

Stuart-
Looks interesting. I'll have to look furhter during the upcoming Christmas break.
jgwane-
Unless it is a retouched photo, two of the soldiers at the right of the photo have 29th Div. marking on their left shoulders.

Thanks. It doesn't look retouched to me.

Shoulder markings aside. Have to say for the info and the campaign you get for the price. This still ranks as a real bargan in my book.

RoE is a great rule set, and this campaign is good fun.
My only request if Stu see's this is, can we next time have a list of the forces needed for each side seperately (ie all the forces in total number, not for each break down) just so it is easy for me to make sure my oponent has the right right stuff without me having to read his brief and thus spoiling some of the fun! :)

I hope there is another one on its way soon!

Unless somebody "cleaned up" since the pdf was originally posted those patches that are clearly visible are of the 29th Inf Div…. The Blue and Gray…the

There was never any clean up, Daedalus. Incidentally, we have released another pdf that focuses on the Battle for Breslau in 1945.

I have no problem with Garands and Carbines having the same range. The effective range for both is 300 yards. That's the range at which an individual target can be discerned and engaged by the average man without resorting to optics.
