The Grand Duchy of Stollen. link Nice balance of figures, terrain, games, pictures. It is all balanced with the demands of Real Life(TM). Very well done. |

Giles Allison's "Tarleton's Quarter", detailing his growing AWI armies, with occasional forrays into other areas. Excellent text, great pics, frequent posts – the man has a winner! |

Jim Purkey's "The Alte Fritz Journal" runs a very close second for me. Many of the same attributes, plus detailed after-action-reports on his massive wargames weekends. In addition, Jim has written a couple wonderful posts about gaming with his daughter, using the Eureka Teddy Bear armies. Top shelf stuff. There's very little to seperate these two gentlemen and their blogs – I guess I just like the AWI stuff just a bit more. Your milage may vary! But I'm damn glad both are willing to devote the time to give us a glimpse into their little worlds. |

Murph's Bongolesia blog for me without a doubt. A man after my own heart and a great source of inspiration for AK-47 madness. Fantastic. |

I enjoy the Grimsby Wargamer – he comments on a wide range of subjects, which keeps things interesting. He also has a nice turn of phrase in his writing: grimsbywargaming.blogspot.com Steve the Wargamer's blog is always worth a look. And once you have finished reading his consistently interesting postings, the menu on the left of his page is a great way of keeping up with the latest updates on a number of other great wargaming blogs: steve-the-wargamer.blogspot.com Finally, there is another blog I enjoy which, while it covers wargaming, also covers the day-to-day life of the writer, his wife and his sister-in-law. It is very humourous and entertaining. For some reason, I now can't find the link, or even remember the name of the guy or his blog – but someone might recognise it from my description and provide the link

I'd like to nominate The Hinton Hunter findthatfigure.blogspot.com Its a really useful service and he also does a site for old Minifigs S range. They are a bit different from the diary blogs but very useful and obviously a labour of love. And if anyone has any old Hinton Hunts they want to sell I would be interested!! |

I would say Giles is my favorite, with Scott McPhee in a close second. No love for the House of War? Aw shucks:( Clearly I need more posts about filet mignon. |
