Received a shipment of 28mm Mark Fenlon ACW miniatures (Zouaves charging and assorted others) from Battleline Scenics in Australia. Fast, courteous, and patient (having put up with my numerous questions) service. Less than two weeks delivery time from Australia to US.

The figures are gorgeous. Best I've seen at this scale. The poses are dynamic (charging) and animated. No flashing to speak of, and the details are "crisp."

I will be ordering from them again.

Their website:

battlelinescenics.com.au

(The Mark Fenlon minis are not listed. You have to ask for the PDF Catalog which has quite a few pictures of the line).

The range is also available in the US from me at:

Mark-

I looked at your website and saw that you were out of many codes. I thought perhaps you weren't carrying them any longer. I'm glad to hear that I was wrong in my assumption. Will you be getting a new shipment soon?

Hi Doc:

Actually just the reverse. I have been slowly building inventory of the range. I'll be placing the next order in the first week of January so if you are looking for anything specific, just let me know.

I also will get cracking on photos in January as well. My packs are somewhat different from the way they are sold down under.

photos would be great. Also, how do they look next to Perry or Sash and Saber figures?

Thanks.

Perry's I do not have.

Sash & Saber are slightly smaller, but I would place them in the "compatible" category. They are very similar to Old Glory 2nd Edition as well.

I have Perry (plastics) as well as Dixon, Sash & Sabre, and OG 2nd to do some comparison shots when I get to this in January.

I LOVE the Fenlon minis! Here are some shots from my collection. I have units with mixed Sash&Saber, Mark Fenlon, Old Glory, Redoubt, and Foundry. I find the mixed look to be more human and less toy soldier.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Just remember for anyone interested we have a sale on at the moment with bags of 20 infantry selling for $34.00AU not bad when you consider the exchange rate at the moment. The sale ends at the end of December 08. Anyone interested can contact me and i will send you a catalogue. Merry Christmas to all.
Cheers

Sean,
Thank you! Yes, they do look good all mixed together! A lot of wargamers would prefer to have clones fighting their battles. They look great how you mounted them, and nice work on the bases!

Thanks John I'll send you some of the other shots I have, they are also all up on the blog under ACW. The Confederates came out even better. I have carried this look out in my collection going forward and I love it.

Is anyone still selling these minis?

Bogus2207 Mar 2012 2:40 p.m. PST

They are supposed to be going back into production by a fellow who purchased the line and has set up shop as Adventure Miniatures adventureminiatures.net/.

I contacted them and they said they would put me on an email list to be contacted when the figures became available, but I have not heard any news.

Looks like the site has gone offline.

Anyone know anything more on the possible resurrection of this interesting range?

Ditto-?

The moulds are now owned by Adventure Miniatures ACW range – sold by Elite Miniatures Australia, available through their website (check the legend on the side panel). The range is increasing through the new owner.

Hope this helps.
