First Battlefield Terrain Concepts
I orderd the book, some corn and wheat fields and some snakefences.

The quality of the terrain peaces are great, they realy gives realism to the table. Amd the shipping was VERY fast.
I will defenatly buy more from Doug Kline.
If you plan on doing ACW, then it's the place to go.

On to Undying Courage
I got the book yesterday and read it last night.
The senarios are desigend for Johnny reb III but will work with any rules that use regiments/battalions as the smallest unit. The book gives the historic number of regiemtns, so even tho JRIII uses 1:30 ratio, you could easly get the right number of figs with rules that use 1:20.

Each Senario has a few pages, first a introduction to the senario by the history, then you get the OOBs and any special info regarding the senario, and last but no way least a great map of the battlefield.
The map shows all the terrain for the battle, orchards, roads, fields, fences ect. it also show the possision of the regiments at the start of the senario.
Each senario also gives a number of turns for the game and the objectivs.

The design of the books is supurb, as mentiond the maps are great and easy to "read", you have some great pictures of games were you can see both fantastic figs and terrain and realy inspiers you when you think about games.

If you plan on doing an Antietam game this book is a must

PS. Scott Mingus also sent me another senario by email that didn't make it into the book, free of charge.

All the guys in the JRIII gaming society are great, especially Scott and Doug.

And, not to make this a lovefest, James it was guys like you who made this Buckeye mad scientist feel very welcome at HMGS-East events when I moved over to Pennsylvania from the Cleveland area. I had heard so much negativity about East, but you and a few others proved that officials at East cons were really great people who cared about promoting the hobby and making newcomers feel welcome.

I might add that even if you don't game, the maps alone from purely the perspective of understanding the battle, are fabulous.

Oh…and Doug's a great guy, too!
