For those of you who were unable to attend this year, here is a link to a walkthrough of WARFARE – the annual Wargames Association of Reading (UK) event: link
The photos show some of the demo and participation games that were staged on Sunday November 23rd at the Rivermead Leisure complex, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire (UK). There are also some pics of the Bring & Buy and Traders halls.
WARFARE is a two-day show which is one of the UK's premier wargaming events. Please note that I have also posted pics of the Warfare 2008 tournament competition games (Sunday) as a separate topic. It can be accessed via this link: link
If you were one of the competitors, please feel free to supply some additional details (type of game, names of participants, armies & points details, result etc.). Don't forget to quote the relevant photo(s) when posting your comments.

Thanks for the photos, Joe. Looks like there were some good games on. But there don't seem to have been many people about. |

Wow, great photos. I looked at almost every one and thought 'wish I was playing in that game'! |
| Khazarmac | 24 Nov 2008 4:03 p.m. PST |
Steve, the photos are just of the competition games. There was another hall with the traders, and the BnB in a 3rd room. |

And from the second link showing tournament play, I'm glad you included a photo of #16 putting away his tank forces as I had mistakenly thought in photo #15 that someone was using the most ridiculous tank tactics in the world. 8^) And it was good to see so many smiling faces in the various DBM(?) tournament games--so I guess there weren't many "Bobs" attending. Congratulations on running a successful convention with the 54mm Waterloo skirmish and the "Don't tell him your name Pike" games looking particularly good. |

Not many people about
. I think he took the photos on Sunday. Sunday was very quiet. Saturday was NOT :) |
| Khazarmac | 25 Nov 2008 11:25 a.m. PST |
Steve, ignore me, I am talking complete rubbish, the first link is of course of the main halls. |
| Khazarmac | 25 Nov 2008 11:35 a.m. PST |
Mind you, now I've looked at the first link properly I can spot myself too; big, bald chap with back to camera, working the BnB in photo 3. Hard to spot myself amongst all the other middle aged, bald blokes with beards! |

Khazarmac – I'm impressed that you can recognise the back of your own head! Captain, I'm glad to hear that Saturday was busy. I always used to like Warfare when I lived further south. |

Hi Ta for photos and I claim to be in one (well just about) You snapped a pic of a game of Warlord II (Early Crusaders vs Arabs) run by author Trevor Halsall which mate and I were participating in at the time (trying to fathom if rules any use) The pink bag (a Peter Pig item I hasten to add) in top right corner and state of play in game lets me know its when I was there :-) Cheers |

Great pictures Joe. I never did get across those purple bridges. 64 -68 Two Guys's productions 15mm sci fi adventure. The theme is Sci fi style Boxer rebellion.as a result of the game the rebels hold a major crossing point which could lead to goverment forces with there coalition and PMC allies being outflanked. To be continued

Nice pics, looks like a fun show. I'm curious: What exactly is the war machine in #13, I've never seen anything like it before. |

Looks like a scaling ladder with protected sides, though why it's pivoted I don't know. |
